Chip ‘n’ Mix brings a fun, innovative, and sustainable twist to dining in Noosa as the world’s first self-serve fry bar. With three different types of hot chips and more than 30 hot and cold toppings, it’s a DIY loaded fries experience that caters to every taste – all while keeping sustainability front of mind.
To reduce single-use plastics, Chip ‘n’ Mix provides free water stations rather than bottled water and uses BioPak home-compostable paper cups. They are also developing their own reusable take-away packaging solution coming soon! Most of their supplies, including fresh produce, are delivered in recyclable cardboard boxes, and used cooking oil is collected and repurposed through Loop Oils.
Food waste is significantly reduced through their partnership with the Too Good To Go app, which allows customers to purchase quality food at the end of the day at a discount, cutting waste by 50 to 75 percent. In addition, all supplies, including cleaning and hand soaps, are purchased in bulk from RapidClean to minimise unnecessary packaging.
Chip ‘n’ Mix is committed to finding creative ways to reduce waste and plastic use, while offering a unique dining experience that is as sustainable as it is delicious.
