Events and Markets

Go green and achieve your sustainability goals

There are some great reasons to switch away from plastic at your event or market, and this program is full of practical advice to help you plan and achieve your goals.

Events are often one of the biggest creators of single-use plastic waste, and Plastic Free Noosa has been working with a number of events in the community to combat the use of plastic. Sustainability is a key focus for Noosa events that are supported by Tourism Noosa, as we all need to do something now to make a significant change to our future.

Not only will your event benefit from a more sustainable use of resources and reduce waste and litter, you can potentially save money by reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill and post-event clean-up costs. Additionally, your plastic free event or market recognises the growing community support and expectation for sustainable actions.
