As a first-time Waste Warrior volunteer, the abundance of positivity and knowledge at the Noosa Festival of Surfing gave me a strong sense of hope and community. It sounds cliche, I know, but I’m sure those who have also worked or volunteered hands on with environmental conservation and sustainability will know the feeling.

Driven by a strong passion for environmental conservation and social studies, Ash spent her childhood in Noosa sailing, surfing and immersed in nature. Inspired by the beauty that surrounds her, she now channels this passion into action and her creative practices.
Our first champion spotlight is Sunshine Social. This cafe and roastery is well loved by locals for not only incredible coffee, but outstanding community involvement and an authentic, positive atmosphere.
